Fitting Policy

At Hire the House, we offer fittings by appointment to help you feel confident in your selection before booking. This policy outlines how fittings work, what to expect, and your responsibilities as a client.

Booking a Fitting

• Fittings are available by appointment only at our Holborn studio.
• Appointments must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.
• During your appointment, a stylist will assist you in selecting and trying on items from our collection.
• Styling advice, measurements, and recommendations are provided to help you make an informed decision before renting.

Fitting Fees

• A fee may apply for fittings, which will be communicated at the time of booking.
• Fitting fees are non refundable but may be redeemable against your final rental cost if a booking is made.

What to Expect

• We recommend bringing appropriate undergarments and shoes for trying on items.
• You may try on a set number of looks within your appointment slot.
• Staff may assist with fittings to ensure proper handling of garments, particularly delicate or sculptural pieces.
• Items cannot be altered or reserved during fittings unless a booking is confirmed.

Post Fitting Bookings

• If you choose to hire an item following your fitting, we will process your booking in line with our Rental Terms & Conditions.
• Once your booking is confirmed and payment has been received, the item is reserved exclusively for your selected dates.
• All bookings are final and non-refundable after confirmation, regardless of whether a fitting has taken place.

Cancellations or Missed Appointments

• Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
• Missed appointments or late arrivals may result in forfeited fitting fees and limited future booking access.

Health & Safety

• We maintain a high standard of hygiene and garment care.
• Items tried on during fittings are professionally cleaned before rental.
• Please handle all garments with care and follow staff guidance during your appointment.
