Welcome to Hire the House. These Terms & Conditions outline the rules and expectations for using our services. By making a booking or accessing our website, you agree to these terms in full.
1. About Us
Hire the House is a costume rental and styling service based in London, offering curated garments and accessories for events, productions, and private use. We also offer additional services including tailoring, hair & makeup, content creation, and performer hire.
2. Booking & Payment
- All bookings must be made via our website or through an in person appointment.
- Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your item(s) for the selected rental dates.
- Once a booking is confirmed and paid, it is non refundable and cannot be modified. Please double check your order and dates before completing checkout.
3. Rental Period
- The rental period is defined by the collection date and return date selected at checkout.
- Items can be collected from our Holborn studio or delivered to your address.
- Returns must be made via our pre arranged courier service or dropped back in person on or before your agreed return date.
- Late returns may incur additional charges.
4. Use of Items
- Items must be treated with care and returned in the same condition they were received.
- Do not wash, alter, or attempt repairs on any rented item. We handle all professional cleaning and maintenance.
- Items must only be used for the agreed purpose (e.g. event, shoot, performance).
- You are responsible for any significant damage, loss, or theft of items while in your care.
5. Fit & Sizing
- We provide detailed size and measurement information for each item.
- In person fittings are available by appointment at our Holborn studio.
- As bookings are final, we cannot offer refunds for items that do not fit. We encourage all clients to book a fitting if unsure.
6. Add-On Services
- Additional services such as alterations, hair & makeup, content creation and performer hire can be added to your booking (subject to availability).
- These services may require additional lead time and payment and are subject to separate terms where applicable.
7. Cancellations & Modifications
- All bookings are final once confirmed and paid.
- We do not offer cancellations, refunds, or date changes.
- If you experience an exceptional circumstance, please contact us directly, and we will do our best to support where possible.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including imagery, product descriptions, branding, and designs is the property of Hire the House or used with permission. You may not copy, reuse, or distribute this content without express written consent.
9. Liability
Hire the House is not responsible for any injury, allergic reaction, or other incident arising from the use of rented garments, accessories, or styling services. We recommend reviewing materials and care details provided.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
